BEST PAIRS CHAMPIONSHIP 2023
What a great day’s bowling last Saturday!
16 mixed pairs – with one notable exception – competed in 2 completions after 4 ‘league rounds’ earlier in the season.
In the main comp the final was fought out between Colin & Paula Milnes and John Ashcroft & Ewan (Edwina) Turner. Colin and Paula were the eventual winners. What a great season they’re having!
The consolation final was won by Sue & Allen Mountford with valiant runners up Stan Davies & Helen Jenkins.
The weather was kind to us, too!
Huge thank yous to all who came to make it such a success. Special thanks goes to Joe Kelly for doing the BBQ brilliantly as usual and kitchen helpers Margaret and Pat Jones.
Well done Keith Sproston for running the competition so well and for the fantastic condition of the green.
Our next club competition is the Memorial Trophy on Sunday August 13th, open to all club members. Format and times to be sent out soon.
