Club Championship Singles Final 2026

  Report from Keith Sproston

Last weekend was the finals day for the club singles championship.

20 players had played in 4 rounds to achieve their best position in a league table. Three groups were formed from that table to make the main final, consolation final and contenders final. The weather was dull and damp for the morning session and it had an effect on everyone. We then stopped for food and BBQ cooked by Debbie Barnes and Will Abram which was excellent. This brought everyone together and finally the crossens spirit started and a more fun atmosphere came through. The bowling as always was competitive all day leading to the final games. The eventual winner and your club champion I’m delighted to say is Karen Holding. She played so well in the quarter final, the semi final and then against Mo Ahmady to win the crown. . Well done to everyone involved to make it a special event and I feel the best club championship. Thanks to everyone for taking part.

Keith Sproston.
