Happy New Year

Hi everyone – this is your Chairman speaking.

On behalf of Crossens Bowling Club I would like to thank all members for your support this year. We started the season off in March, after a year of Covid, not knowing what to expect and with the membership in need of a boost. 

The Committee decided to have an open day to see what reaction we could achieve. On that sunny day in May we couldn’t believe the response. We were literally overwhelmed with the response and I’m pleased that so many new faces have enriched the Club. 

We’ve had some brilliant days at the Club this year. One of the best was Club Championship, with Joe Kelly’s bbq. The friendly atmosphere made the day so special and the bowling was top notch with John Ashcroft becoming the Club Champion.

Preparations are already starting to take shape for next season and the Club and green are getting back to their best and for that I want to thank every member old and new for their support. 

It’s been an absolute pleasure beng your chairman this year and I hope we all move into 2022 with hope and good health for a great year with Crossens, your bowling club.
