President’s Day Ladies and Men’s Competition

Sunday 19th July 2026 we held our President’s Day Ladies and Mens’s Competition. We were extremely lucky with the weather, sunshine all day.

Both competitions were run in groups of 4 players with each player playing each other. There were some very competitive games played.

For both the ladies and men’s the winner of each group plus the best loser went onto play in a semi final.

Ladies semi finalists were Karen Holding v Noreen Lewis and Paula Milnes v Sue Mountford Karen and Paula won and went onto play the final which Paula won 11-8. Congratulations to our  Presidents Day Ladies winner 2026 Paula Milnes.

Men’s semi finalists were Colin Milnes v Geoff Bixter and Mo Ahmady v Tony Baldwin Geoff and Mo won and went onto play the final which Mo won 11-4 Congratulations to our Presidents Day Men’s winner 2026 Mo Ahmady

Thanks to all the players and especially Sue Davies who ran the competition.

A special thank you to our President Tony Wakefield who treated us all with lots of cake and presented the prizes which included a bottle of wine to the winners from Tony himself.
