Singles Championship 2022
Hi everyone,The third final of the Crossens Club Championship took place on Saturday 3rd September.The weather was kind to us, warm, no wind and no clear sun. Perfect for bowling.The final is the knockout stage of a 5 round championship. The four categories play 1/4 final, semi final, then final. The bowling was really good making close games with high scores. The club members made a great atmosphere with good humour and support for everyone. The day was topped off with Joe’s BBQ. Another really fantastic job by him. Now to the results, Better luck next time – Brian Wilson beat Jim Alty 21-17 Contender’s – Martin Doran beat Irene Kermode 21-15 Consolation – John Townsend beat Dave Rimmer 21-19 And the main final. Keith Sproston beat John Ashcroft 21-19 A fantastic game that we both enjoyed just the same as all the other games. Sue Davies had to leave feeling ill but is ok now.
