Memorial Trophy Random Pairs Competition

As you know we had to reschedule this competition because of an event being held at the Community Centre. So unfortunately numbers were down, we had 19 competitors, so we did a round robin pairs format. We had 5 groups of 4 (Gladys played). We had some very competitive games and after 3 games each in the group the top 8 aggregate winners went on to play a semi final and final. The 8 players were randomly paired together and the semi finals were as follows Anne Lowe & Stan Davies v Noreen Lewis & Kenny Baxter (one of our new members) and Joan Sanderson & Geoff Bixter (another newbie to the club) v Sue Davies & Karen Holding.  Both semi finals were close and Noreen & Kenny and Sue & Karen came through to play in the final. Noreen & Kenny took an early lead but Sue & Karen started to come back, however  Noreen & Kenny came through to win. Congratulations to our 2026 Memorial Trophy winners Noreen Lewis and Kenny Baxter.
