Another Great Day!
There were four separate competitions over the day depending on results of previous league games. The Better Luck Next time Comp was won by Doug Garside who beat Dave Warrior in the final. The Contenders final was won by Jimmy Abram who beat Mark Eustace; The Consolation was a very close final won by Brian Roberts who beat Pat McArthur to 20. The Main Comp was very highly contested by all four quarter finalists from the start with the eventual winner John Ashcroft beating Mike Dunlop.
First of all thanks go to Keith for organising and running the Championship singles comp throughout the season, and for getting the green in superb order and to John for his impressive gardening achievement, to all the ladies in the kitchen who helped during the day, to Joe for running the superb BBQ, those members who marked and measured and especially to all competitors and spectators for both Competitions.
